As already apprehended, the case has come to a close paving way for expansion of the Chennai Aiport, displacing thousands of people in and around Manapakkam and other villages. What is heart breaking is that the asset created with a lot of hopes, will be raced by the acquiring agency. Apart from filing an appeal before the relevant Judicial Forum, what remains to be seen is whether the acquiring agency will deem it fit to compensate the displaced persons with housing facility and whether the compensation will be to the fullest extent. Assuming that there is going to be a fitting compensation for the asset lost, who will compensate the displaced victims for the agony they are in? May God save the displaced and bring about a change in the mindset of the ruling class to give up the proposed operation acquisition. They have given up their earlier acquisition proposal which was set in motion. Let us hope for the best and fight un to the end. Shall We stand united? Unless we are united we cannot redeem our lost prestige and the house.
